Despite a sketchy start this device is popular with people 18 to 40 years. Unlike regular earbuds the Apple earpods terminate in a lightning connector. They have similar characteristic as the old model but better performance.

A lightening connector sounds ominous but is actually a mobile device that connects computers or chargers. It has a small thin cable with a lightening adaptor basically used to charge a device.

Apple Earpods with Lightening connector is priced at $24.46 and comes in a classic recyclable paper box. Plug to the lightening port of any IOS, IPod touch, iPhone or iPad and it works perfectly.

Generally you need to have a lightening port IOS 10. They fit most ear perfectly with very few exceptions. They have high quality sound, wider soundstage, and good acoustics, well defined by the geometry of the ear.

This circular earbuds depart from the traditional design and offers a more comfortable fit. You get high quality audio from the speakers fully engineered for maximum sound quality and output.

They include a built-in remote to control video, music playbacks and adjust volume. Answering a call is literarily a pinch of the cord.

History

Designed by Apple the white in-ear headphones are used with smartphones. The unique product has an unusual design and sold together with lightening connector. They have a classic round shape.

The Earpods and lightening connector weighing 11.9g, released in fall of 2012 and the first generation earbuds in 2001 October 23.

The second generation came with a slider while the third generation feature the original styled buds with a redesign moderately longer.

The apple in-ear headphones were introduced in September 9, 2008 and later revised in September 12, 2012. The new version featured a built-in microphone including a remote control. Superior engineering offered better acoustics, clarity and balance.

The device is dynamically lacking, sound overly smooth. The bass is heavy undefined and the fit is ideal for some. The solid sound is direct midrange, weighty but clear.

The Sound and Price

The smart engineering ensures full bodied sound even at full volume. They serve high quality recording hefty bass, clear direct auto tuned vocals. You get more laid-back listen however they don’t compare with some in their class.

The Fit

The contentious fit is a major problem. It is a poor fit for some and perfect for others. The hard plastic hardly encourages much adjustment. They are not for everyone however some love them.

For $29 bucks, the Apple Earpods with Lightning Connector are worth the price.
